Wallpaper images
The National Geographic Photography website is a a treasure trove of desktop wallpaper images. You can find here many eminent and high quality photographs, and most of these are available for download in wallpaper sizes. There are two different urls to explore downloadable wallpapers, one at
http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/wallpapers and the other at
http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/photo-contest/2009-wallpaper The former has outstanding images, between 1280 and 1024 pixels. It also hosts Photo of the week, Photo of the day archive, and Photo of the
day (best of 2008, 2007), a gallery for each month. The latter offers only wallpaper downloads in its wallpaper section, the images with a better resolution, 1600 pixels and more. Use the dropdown on the top left to scroll through different galleries and pick your choice.
